Animals Currently Available For Re-homing
We are inundated with cats and kittens at the moment. If you can offer a home to any of these cats or kittens, please contact us on 07958 984 996 . Please note this is our rehoming line for people wanting to adopt animals only. For all other branch enquiries call 07952 680522.
Please note that sometimes the cats featured on this page have already been adopted by the time we receive calls. We try to take the pictures down as soon as a cat has been adopted but sometimes it takes a few days. If you do call and the cat you saw on the site is no longer available, please do come along and see some of the other wonderful cats who need homes!
One of our cats that are looking for a new owner is Ophelia. She is a black domestic cat aged only about 10 months. She is extremley playful and would get along in a multi cat household as well as one of her own. She is fully up to date with her vaccinations and has been neutered and wormed.

This lovely cat Pictured here is also looking for a new home. He is very loving and affectionate and is known to be quite a character!!
Please think carefully before you adopt. An animal is a living creature which will be dependent on you for the rest of its life. Dogs and cats can live well into their teens. Veterinary care is expensive. Is your life style suitable for the animal? Dogs left for alone for long periods become unhappy and destructive.
If you could like to offer to adopt any of the animals on this page, please phone us on 020 8670 4992. Please note this is our rehoming line for people wanting to adopt animals only. For all other branch enquiries call 07952 680522. You can read all about the adoption process below.
Fostering
Interested in fostering? We occasionally require willing people who are able to look after cats and kittens until they can be rehomed. Are you able to help? If so, please call us on 07958 984 996 . Thank you!
There are cats that need temporary homes whilst they adjust. Can you find room in your heart & your home for a cat? Are you around during the day?
Friendship & patience will really help our cats.
Observation of a cat can tell us their likes & dislikes.
Some of our cats need nursing back to full health.
Teach our cats there are people that care.
Experience of looking after cats is an advantage.
RSPCA London South East Branch will give you support with your fostered cat.
Instead of getting depressed in a cage, cats adjust quicker in a home environment.
Neglected & unloved in the past, help turn their lives around.
Great! We would love to hear from suitable volunteer carers!

The Adoption Process
We have a couple of animal homes on the outskirts of London where you can go and see if there is a pet suitable.
If you live in South East London, the nearest animal home is the South Godstone animal centre (off of Junction 6 of the M25) You can call them on 0870 0101 841.
Other places include Leybourne Animal Centre 0870 010 1851, or Battersea Dogs home (which is not an RSPCA centre but still looks at rehoming unwanted animals) 0207 622 3626. Please note that telephoning an animal centre is not easy as they tend to be very busy and answering calls is not a top priority.
At the animal centre they will interview you to make sure that you are aware of the responsibilities of keeping a pet.
Once you have chosen your new companion a member of our Home Visiting Team will visit you in your own home to discuss any concerns you may have prior to adopting one of our animals. If everything is fine and you have had time to carefully consider if a rescued animal is right for you, and your family, arrangements can be made to bring him/her home. A follow-up visit is arranged a few weeks later to ensure that everything is going well and your new friend has settled in. Any worries you may have can be discussed at this stage. Of course, we hope that everything will go smoothly. But, the first few weeks of getting to know each other, especially for a first time owner, can be stressful. Small concerns can become a real worry and by discussing any problems we hope to set your mind at rest or to help overcome any difficulties. We aim to ensure a successful adoption and a happy and contented relationship between the rescued animal and his/her new family for many years to come.
